I once had a teacher who taught me French.
I once had a teacher who taught me French, his name was Mr Exley. Now Mr Exley was, like every other teacher you might come across. He wore suits and ties, rolled his sleeves all the way up to his elbows. He had round glasses which he seldom wore and cracked jokes that no one ever laughed at. He taught French in the most peculiar way. Instead of having us sit and read out of dull text books and...

“They were threatened by my intelligence and too stupid to know that’s why...”
– Big Bang Theory, Sheldon, to his mum on why the neighbourhood kids hated him. This the single most brilliant line I have ever heard, I’m afraid I’ll have to steal this.

Booooooom - Remake submissions →
If you haven’t seen this already, you are missing out! A creative bunch of people are remaking famous paintings, using only themselves and a camera. The attention to detail here is striking!! My favourite one would be “Pot Pourri” remake by Tania Brassesco and Lazlo Passi Norberto. I actually had to take a closer look to which one was which.

Sukiyaki Western Django
Sukiyaki Western Django Perhaps not at the top of the cool list but It’s definitely up there.   Well it’s violent, somehow funny at the same times, though some scene were hard to swallow.  The cinematography here, costume design and camera work was phenomenal, absolutely beautiful!  Oh and look out girls after watching this all you want is a gun, a corset and a big fucking skirt.  It is quite...

Abel Tesfaye: He ate sexy, then he spat it back...
By Samiira Garane Abel Tesfaye isn’t known for making music without its usual dash of pure originality. This remains the truth throughout both of his mixtapes House of balloons and Thursday and now with his new mixtape Echoes of silence released on the 21st December 2011. His music fuses together the familiar sounds of RnB, haunting psychedelics, noises and beats and there seems to be no end...

Hi, Cultradar here, how do you do?
Hi My name is Samiira, I’m from Denmark, but now I live in England. I like to write.  I’ve decided to start a blog as a way for me to explore all the creative aspects that I’m interested in. As well as writing I want to direct, I want to teach and travel and make music…the list is endless. I’ve always been pushed by people to take a certain “safer” direction. People with good intentions want...
